What does my dream mean?
I had a dream about a young girl, about 7 or 8 years old (I'm almost 20) and she had an older sister and a grandmother with her. All three of them got off a train and walked up these stairs and they ended up in a bookstore. The older sister and the grandmother were looking around the the young girl went up a flight of stairs in the bookstore. She found this secret gap in the side of the stairs and found a whole new set of stairs. Then her sister came and pulled her down.
The next night I had the same dream but this time the older sister didn't stop the younger girl. She kept walking up the secret stairs and at the end the stairs just ended and there was a black hooded figure with his back to the girl just standing there, very scary.
What could this dream mean?
I don't have an older sister or live with a grandmother.
The young girl, the sister, and the grandmother all represent you. They are different aspects of you but still you. The young girl represents the immature but inquisitive part of you. The sister represents the friend part of you and the grandmother represents the more mature aspect of you.
Seeing a train in your dream means that you have been doing something to "go along with the crowd." The stairs means that you are searching for meaning in your life-the fact that they are going up means that you are more positive than negative in your attitude and the books in the bookstore represent "chapters" in your life that you are examining. The black hooded figure is the unknown and possibly that you fear that what you are doing (going along with the crowd) poses some danger to you-like maybe drugs or some other risky behavior.
The sister and grandmother are the more sensible side of you while the young girl is the daring side of you. But you do sense some fear in what you are doing.
Take the time to examine you life and things that are going on in it. Could there be some things that you may be involved in (or thinking about being involved in) that you know could be negative for you. If so think about whether it is truly worth the risk. Maybe you should lean more toward the sister/grandmother side than the young girl side.
