How much does having a custom wedding dressed designed specifically for you? ?
Is it rediculously expensive? Because i think i would really like to have something different...something beautiful and only mine...i have lot's of inspiration i like the wedding dresses in these movies: "princess diaries 2" "brave heart" and"ever after: a cinderella story"
Look, who's designing the dress?--that's the first question.
The seamstress who lives on the corner, using a couple of pictures you've pulled from BRIDE Magazine....or Vera Wang?
If the latter, you'd better be prepared to cough up tens of thousands of dollars. If it's the lady on the corner, maybe a few hundred to a thousand, depending on materials.
What you might want to do is go to one of those Wedding Dress SALES--you know, where they have a ton of dresses on sale for absurdly cheap prices--they're beautiful, too--and buy a few of them. Yes, a FEW of them. Then find yourself a talented seamstress, and have her take the dresses and make you a whole new dress using the materials from the others--say you like the bodice on one, and the skirt on the other, and you want the material in the third to be a veil?
It would also be easier to alter something than make it from scratch--if you're talking Cinderella, you're probably talking a complex bodice--and that's costly. If you can get a sale dress with a nice one already made, and then add to it, change it up a bit, and make it your own, why, that's "unique" and will save you a bundle, too.
